All black with a touch of camel? Yes please.
When it comes to wearing real fur, I always buy vintage. There’s something classic and timeless about vintage fur coats. I remember playing with my grandmother’s fur stole when I was 4, wishing the temperature would drop even the slightest in Manila (that was some serious wishful thinking, ha!). Since then, I’ve taken her stole with me when I moved to the US and it’s been put to good use. Alongside my first fur piece, I’ve had this camel beauty shown here, which I purchased from the Baltimore’s Best Dressed sale, an annual sale of all things pre-loved and vintage. The Women’s Board of Johns Hopkins runs this event and they always sell the best designer pieces (read: this is where I get most of my vintage/pre-loved clothes apart from online retailers). It’s a great event and all the proceeds go to support patient care the Johns Hopkins Hospital.
But I digress. With winter still at its peak, it’s only apt to bring out the ‘big guns,’ that being thicker or heavy-weighted clothing. I’ve chosen to go for an all black look with a touch of camel-colored pieces. I think the black leather pants and wool ribbed turtleneck make a nice contrast with the vintage fur coat. It’s a simple color scheme but the different textures make it interesting. That and a few accessories (how fun are these star earrings?!) and we have a lux city look.
Stay warm and thanks for reading!
