You don’t have to be French to wear it! While the beret has been around for quite some time, gracing style icons like Brigitte Bardot and Twiggy, it has resurfaced as a major accessory on recent runways. Wearing a beret doesn’t automatically mean you have to don a total French look. I think it has a timeless appeal that can easily go with classic or minimal pieces.
I’ve paired this beret with a white button down shirt and high-waist blue denim jeans to keep on with the classic style. With few neutrals, such as this camel coat and nude pumps, and a touch of color with this red clutch, I think this makes for a stylish and wearable look.
